Dr. B. P. Pradeep Kumar

Dr. B. P. Pradeep Kumar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Data Science) at BMS University, Bengaluru, with over 14 years of academic and research experience. His research spans Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Medical Image Analysis, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Pattern Recognition, and Quantum Machine Learning. He has a Ph.D. from JAIN University, Bengaluru, with doctoral research focused on cost-effective hand gesture recognition.

His research contributions include AI-driven healthcare, medical image retrieval and analysis, gesture and gait recognition, intelligent sensing, and predictive healthcare systems. He has collaborated with Uppsala University, Sweden, on international research initiatives including Swedish Strategic Research Foundation projects. He has also contributed to the development of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing Centres of Excellence, promoting interdisciplinary research, student innovation, and industry collaboration.
